Sometimes stardom and tragedy go hand in hand. If both must be included in a formula for success, then Spade Cooley may have been the most successful of them all. Spade was a 40's era pioneer of western swing and spaghetti westerns who conquered the country music industry along with Hollywood costarring with notable icons such as Roy Rogers and Gene Autry. His career was at its zenith when his descent into a jealous alcohol fueled freefall resulted in the shocking murder of his then wife Ella Mae Evans. Convinced that she was cheating on him with Rogers, he murdered her in an unfathomable act of brutality. Cooley was serving his 8th year prison sentence before performing at a benefit when he died from a heart attack immediately following the show.

Spayed Koolie is the musical project created by David Dorr. The band is comprised of several handpicked prodigies by David himself to collectively convey the melodies that he has extracted from the depths of the human soul. The music finds redemption mixed with, sorrow and anger, blended smooth like a warm glass of Calvados Brandy with a slight hint of American blues in the aftertaste. The songs rich with musical vibrance, emanate the sounds of rock and roll through edgy guitar riffs, eclectic bass runs and classical piano tones. Like Cooley himself, David has in a similar fashion visited the depths of emptiness, brought forth from personal demons and toxic relationships, some resulting from fate's cruel timing, and others a shameful product of himself.

Spayed Koolie is not a repackaged radio friendly product of the industries cookie cutter that taste’s like the same bowl of bland health cereal you eat every morning. It's the guilt you feel from the greasy bacon and eggs that you secretly indulge in before kissing your mistress the morning after in a seedy hotel. Spayed Koolie divulges a man's life experiences, and honest recollection of a past re lived, and a present still living with imperfections and vulnerability. The music of Spayed Koolie is a vivid, unpredictable ride along the wavelength of life's soundtrack.

DaCapo Jazz Trio performs a mixture of classical and modern jazz, as well as original jazz compositions.

Mike Bloomer (Bass) earned a performance degree in music from the University of Illinois in 1989. He has extensive experience with the electric and acoustic bass performing classical, jazz and popular music in a wide variety of musical settings. John Olearchick (Piano, keyboard) earned a degree in Music Education from Seton Hill University in 2011, and a Master of Arts in Jazz Performance and Arranging/Composition from the University of Central Florida in 2015. John teaches music at all skill levels from Elementary through College level. John has performed jazz and classical gigs as a soloist, in collaborative settings, with jazz combos, and with Big Bands in the Pittsburgh and Orlando areas.

David RV Henclewski (Drums, Percussion, Vocals) earned a Degree in Music from Chicago State University. He has played with Big Bands, small groups, and Classic and Smooth jazz ensembles in Chicago and Orlando. Dave is versed in many other styles of music, and gives private lessons upon request. The Next Gen Jazztet is a young jazz group based in Orlando, Florida. We play a variety of jazz, swing, latin, and smooth funk.

Mary Ann Carroll is the sole woman in the group of artists known as the "Florida Highwaymen". Born in 1940 into a family of sharecroppers, her family moved to Fort Pierce, Florida when she was 8. There, Mary Ann had an opportunity to watch Harold Newton paint. Inspired by Harold's work, she joined the ragtag bunch of artists early on, bringing a gifted way of looking at colour to the group. First Mary Ann Carroll Paintings were sold when she was of the age of 18, and when she often travelled alone throughout the state to sell her work carrying a small gun to protect herself. Fearless, she even sold paintings in Okeechobee where "the guys" refused to go because of a greater sense of racial tension. Motivated by the necessity of supporting seven children after her husband abandoned their family when the youngest was 5, she painted in part to supplement her income from housecleaning.

Many of Mary Ann Carroll paintings are painted in usual manner for Highwaymen artists – on upson board, with crown moulding as a frame. She is one of the few Highwaymen that learned to mix colours to enhance details early on. She still uses a kitchen spoon to mix oils – a Highwaymen trademark. Many of her paintings are sized 24 x 36, because she painted about 2 that size each day. She also sold smaller works including 18 x 24 and 12 x 24 sizes. Now in her 60's she still paints, often to fill commission requests.

Mary Ann Carroll paintings are filled with crisp details, vibrant colours and the sense of the peace and harmony she feels while creating each one. Even shadowed areas in her paintings are crafted by darkening other colours in the work, and seem to teem with life. Her Florida landscapes exemplify the wild energy of undeveloped Florida, and create a sense of timelessness in each pictorial history that viewers want to escape to, again and again. Despite of the fact that she painted a great number of works during her career, her paintings are not very often offered for sale. Issac Knight is one of six children born to the late Plantation workers Arthur and Mabel Knight of Tallahassee, Florida where he was born.

He is happily married to Lillie Denmark-Knight. He is the father of 2 children Cedric and Tiffany. He also has one daughter-in-law, Keri and 2 grandchildren Sydney and Desirae.

Issac (sometimes called IKE) became a Highwaymen and painter almost inadvertently. He initially got his start by being a seller of Alfred Hair and Al Black's paintings.

After being mentored by Al Black, his brother in law, he began painting about 1968. He still maintained his full time job, which would only allow him to paint in the evenings and late into the nights. This allowed him to have the opportunity to go out on Saturdays (sometimes Sundays ) and sell paintings. On Sundays afternoons he would go to the Jetties In Fort Pierce and sell paintings. On some occasions he would travel as far as Gainesville, Florida and back in one day and as far south as Miami, Florida.

In the early days, Ike struggled with self perfection. On certain instances, he would paint a painting and be dissatisfied with the finished work. But by sure fate when he would go out on weekends these, "un-perfected paintings", seemed to be the first paintings to sell. After about 2 years experience he became better and began to perfect the art he loved.

Robert L. Lewis is a Florida artist, who is a member of the Highwaymen group. The Highwaymen was an association of young African-American artists who painted their way from the Florida Citrus fields in 1950s through 1960s and 1970s, painting Florida landscapes in a flamboyant style. As the doors of any art gallery or show was closed for them at that time, they just were selling their works from the back of their cars, travelling along the Florida's East Cost. The style of Robert L. Lewis paintings as all other Highwaymen was inspired by the works of well-known Florida artist Albert "Beanie" Backus. The work of Highwaymen were not recognized at that time, but only in 1990s when a Florida art collector and museum curator re-discovered them and wrote an article about them. The interest and popularity of the Highwaymen artists keeps steadily growing since and works that were selling for less than $50 from the trucks are easily commanding hundreds and thousands of dollars and found their ways to art galleries and shows.

Trees are a prominent feature of many Robert L. Lewis paintings and his work shows a fantasy bent. On the older Robert L. Lewis paintings, the palms often curve and lean; on his newer works, painted on canvas, Lewis’ trees are more refined. The trees in Lewis' newer work often appear to be a place of timelessness in an ever-changing landscape. He uses an imaginative colour palette, which is more predominant and noticeable on the newer Robert L. Lewis paintings, where colourful skies take centre stage amongst lush greenery. Newer pieces also tend to display wildlife, especially coastal birds. Robert Lewis may not have had the time as a young Highwaymen to include the lush details that you can find on the later Robert L. Lewis paintings, but the beginning of his developing style are easily seen.

You can identify Robert L. Lewis paintings by his signature, "R. L. Lewis". And Robert still lives and paints in Florida today.

Kelvin Hair was born in Vero Beach, Florida. He is the son of Mattie  Thornton  and Alfred Hair. Kelvin Hair is a Lieutenant and 23 year veteran of  the Saint Lucie Co. Fire Dept.  He is the proud father of three children.  Kelvin's dad first introduced him to art when he was a toddler. Although  Kelvin 's father passed away before Kelvin was old enough to be  fundamentally proficient in the craft, Kelvin had a rooted desire for art that  manifested itself as early as middle school where Kelvin would draw  constantly and even used the walls of his bedroom as a canvas to create  original works of art fueled by bold imagination.

Kelvin started painting on canvas with oil in high school at the age of 16. Kelvin met artist A.E.Backus at the  age of 17.  Backus widely known to be the art teacher of the Highwaymen founder, Alfred Hair, immediately  took to Kelvin.  As Kelvin began shaping his skills, he took one of his paintings to Backus to critique to see if  his father 's artistic gift was inherited as many had thought.  Not a stranger to evaluating works for budding  artist Backus was supportive of the younger Hair 's efforts and told him he was on the right track and to keep  painting but pay more attention to his colors. There is no doubt that getting advice and approval from one of  the best was enough to strengthen Kelvin 's commitment to excel as an artist.  But what Kelvin remembers  most about that meeting is when Backus hugged him and started crying and said  "I loved your father very  much."  It was apparent that his father was much more than a student to Backus, he was someone special.

Throughout the years Kelvin built on his talent and experiences, and  was fortunate enough to meet another kindred spirit from his father'  s past.  Alfred influenced highwaymen Johnny "Hook" Daniels.  Johnny helped hone Kelvin 's skills the old fasion highwaymen way.  Kelvin recalls Johnny picking up a brush and saying to Kelvin, "see  if you can follow me boy." There was little to no pre-planning...no  sketching...just put in the horizon line and start painting.  Kelvin continued painting intermittently until 2000 when he started painting  full-time.  Kelvin has developed a loyal fan base that is amazed and  delighted by his vision, expressiveness, imagination, and artist integrity that's displayed in his work.

Just as Backus, Alfred, and Johnny did, Kelvin has not stopped promoting art and giving the gift of art to others.  Kelvin shares his love and passion for art by teaching kids for  the Children's Home Society (Fort Pierce) and Better Day at  Macedonia church in Gifford, Florida. You do not need to be an artist or even have any artistic abilities.  All you need is a  desire to learn and can hold a paint brush, your hand and you  are enough to be a student.  Also you do not have to be a  member of Macedonia or any church for that matter for  lessons. Additionally, he teaches a few select students at his  home studio and all the lessons and classes are free!

Kelvin`s philanthropy goes beyond his classes as he's donated paintings to the Navy Seal Museum, United Way, Hurricane  Victims, Children 's Home Society, Alzheimer's, Literary Society, Education Foundation and numerous others.
